Scientometry is a central point of a scientist's life as it is a tool to evaluate the research quality and also that of the researcher. It is then used to distribute resources the science needs. I would like to give you an introduction to its aims and tools, along with the evaluation of scientometry itself, its pros and cons, with the prospects.
