From the hardy weeds in the gaps of pavements and the noble rose cultivars to the giants of the forest; plants are all around us. With our eyes, we can admire the different colours of their flowers, the shapes of their leaves, and the variety of their fruits. But there is also an inner world of plants, and it holds many secrets that human eyesight is short of. Using some approaches of science, we can not only study these processes in detail but also better understand the life of the organisms that surround plants, including humans. You will learn about the key discoveries in biology that have been made in the study of plants, we will demonstrate and let you try out different ways of growing plants. Using laboratory techniques you will get an insight into the processes that take place at the level of plant cells and you will learn about the amazing regenerative capacity of plants.
